Our co...Sadly, this is one context that we are in. Our country is facing the problem of inadequate labour absorption that causes large figures of unemployment and underemployment. In a context of increasing labour supply and stable if not diminishing number of jobs available, then you have a scenario where employers can conveniently offer low wages and employees gladly accepting horrible work conditions. Its that basic economic equation; when supply for labour is high, and demand for jobs is low, labour cost will definitely go down despite controls imposed by government (e.g. minimum wage law). Will I ever leave this country? The longer it gets....the higher the probability. If one decides to continue working locally, one bears the burden of working for a pittance. As much as I value nationalism, family trumps everything.
